My Review of Organza
This is mmmmmm delicious, not in a gourmandish way, but just amazing. I love it. Though it is such an old perfume, it is not dated at all, a beautiful oriental floral. It has just the right amount of spiciness and sweetness to keep it balanced and delectable.
Organza opens with a big blast of nutmeg, very very spicy. But within a few minutes settles into a nutty vanilla fragrance, with a background of orange flower, tuberose and gardenia. This is the best stage of Organza, like it is luminous and ethereal. This makes an image of a glowing angel in white come to my mind (the ad release is fitting to the fragrance). Perfectly sweet, and mildly floral. The sweetness is not like gourmand, but very classy and sophisticated.
After a few hours Jasmine comes into the foreground. The jasmine here is heavy, almost oily, with slight Woody notes and vanilla. This dry down of Organza might not be to everyone’s choice, specially if you prefer lighter fresher fragrances. The green notes and orange flower keep it from becoming too heavy or cloying, but jasmine definitely is the star here.
Organza is mildly powdery, warm, and a very cosy scent. It is big and beautiful, not for those looking for an unobtrusive fragrance. I would love to be surrounded by it’s lovely aroma during winters or autumn or even during rains. It seems too heavy for summers.
The bottle of Organza is as pretty as the fragrance. The frosted glass lady, with her coiffed hair is perfect for this amazing oriental floral fragrance. This fragrance is for a woman, not a girl.
The Sillage and longevity are amazing. Apply it with a light hand, and it will easily last you throughout the day and some more. Organza is the first thing to greet me the next morning, with some light and delicious whiffs of vanilla.
Will I recommend it? Yes, if you love white florals and strong fragrances. Organza is something which is right up my alley, with the Givenchy quality, makes it a fragrance I would never want to be without. But do try it out before committing, as it might be too strong for some.
