Notes as given on Fragrantica: Mandarin orange, Rose, Lily, Woody notes
My Review of Issey Miyake L’eau D’Issey Florale
This is WOW. I doubt it actually is just a 4 notes wonder as given on fragrantica, it smells much more complex than that to me. Issey Miyake L’eau d’Issey Florale is fresh, light, breezy and extremely long lasting. Though aquatic notes are not listed, it still smells like a rose floating on the icy-cool river with wind blowing, bringing the refreshing smell of the woods along with it. Staying power is amazing for an edt.
This is a flanker of the original Issey Miyake L’Eau d’Issey, and retains the essence of it. So far, I like it better than the original (another review, another time).
This is not a in your face kind of fragrance, but like a gentle breeze, which will make people lean in closer to you for another sniff. It is perfect for day wear, in summers, and feels like a bare-footed walk through a dewy rose garden in the early morning hours with a single lily flower in your hands. Bliss.
The sillage is close, but far from being a skin scent. Issey Miyake Florale is a linear scent, does not change much from the initial spray, and can become a little boring by the end of the day if you want your fragrance to keep showing different facets throughout the day. It is easily available at all the major retailers, in a beautiful pink tall glass bottle to adorn your dresser.
Will I recommend it: Yes
